He is a Senior Researcher at the Global Convergence Contents Research Center at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea. He holds a Ph.D. from Korea University, with a specialization in new media journalism approached through the framework of cultural studies. His research focuses on journalistic practices across emerging media platforms, with particular attention to YouTube. Dr. Lee is actively involved in academic associations for media and communication studies in South Korea and serves on the Democratic Party’s Special Committee on Media Policy, where he provides policy recommendations in response to the rapidly evolving political and media landscapes.
